The simple spring outdoor bucket list you need

The Simple Spring Outdoor Bucket List you need!

Hi friends,

Spring is almost here, and after a long winter, it feels so good to spend more time outside again. The days are getting longer, flowers are starting to bloom, and my kids suddenly have a lot more energy to burn.

Here are a few of our favorite easy spring activities that always get kids excited to head outdoors. Be sure to check out the blog at the end with more ideas and a FREE printable bingo board to track your adventures!

Jump in Puddles
Some of my kids’ favorite spring days have been the ones where we just head outside in the rain and let them stomp through every puddle they can find. We're obsessed with our ThermKids raincoats. Use code OUTDOORFAM to get 10% off. Get yours HERE.

Make Flower Bracelets
We wrap duct tape around kids' wrists with the sticky side out, then head outside to find flowers to decorate their bracelets.

Look for Tadpoles and Frogs
We bring a small net and catch tadpoles and crawfish. My kids are always so excited to see what they catch.

Bubbles and Sidewalk Chalk
This is simple, but always a hit. My kids love tracing each other's outlines and decorating them.

Have a Picnic
We pack sandwiches and fruit, grab a blanket, and head to a park or even just your backyard. It’s an easy way to change up the routine and get outside.

Look for Wildflowers
We love walking local trails and seeing what flowers are starting to bloom along the path.

Make Mud Pies
This is my kids' FAVORITE outdoor activity. They take bowls and spoons into the backyard and create their own mud bakery.

If you want more inspiration, I shared a full list of 25 spring activities for kids on my blog along with a free printable bingo board to make it even more fun.

Faulkner's Ranch Easter Discount

Don't miss Faulkner's Ranch Spring Round Up. The kids can search for Easter eggs, enjoy delicious food, enjoy all the farm activities and snap a picture with the Easter bunny. This is always a highlight of our spring. Get tickets HERE and use code EOF10 for 10% off tickets.

Easter Basket Finds

If you are still needing Easter Basket fillers, here are some of my favorites:

Reusable Water Balloons

These are so much easier than traditional water balloons. There are no tiny plastic pieces everywhere, and they can be used again and again all summer.

Easter Bath Bombs

Bath bombs make bath time extra fun, and I love finding ones that match the holiday theme.

Sun Bum Lip Balm

This is one of those small things that ends up being used constantly. I keep extras in beach bags, backpacks, and the car. It feels fun but is actually useful. The tinted lip balm is great for teens.

Mini Magnetic Tiles

If you do not already have a good set of magnetic tiles, Easter is a great excuse to get some. These are my kids' most played with toy.

I hope that this email gives you some ideas for getting outside this spring. What is your favorite way to get outside during the spring? Hit reply to this email and let me know.

Happy Spring,

Amy
